Trauma Specialists of Maryland,LLC is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. All other insurance plans would be considered out of network. However, a form will be provided for you at your appointment that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement with the appropriate billing and diagnostic codes.  You may want to contact your insurance provider to determine how they reimburse for out of network providers.

How long does therapy last?

The length and frequency of therapy depends on the type of therapy being utilized and the individual issues that are presented.  A plan for counseling will be developed after the initial assessment so that the therapist and client can work collaboratively on the plan.

What Method of Payment is acceptable?

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, or credit card. We also have an autopay option that will allow us to charge your credit card automatically after each session.

Is it confidential?

In general, counseling and therapy are confidential.  There are a few exceptions to this that include the intent to harm oneself or others or reported child abuse.  In addition, in order to bill insurance, your insurance company is aware of any diagnoses and service codes used to bill for services.  Your insurance company may also ask for more information, such as a treatment plan in order to continue paying for services.  All of the limits of confidentiality will be discussed with you at your initial assessment.
