Elise Stendal

Life is full of transitions, and sometimes the ways we’ve coped in the past no longer serve us. As a therapist, I help clients gain insight into these patterns and develop new ways of engaging with themselves and the world—ones that align with their values and personal growth. I specialize in anxiety, mood disorders, grief, and life transitions, using an attachment-based, trauma-focused, and relational approach while integrating DBT, IFS, somatic, and strength-based therapies. I am committed to creating a collaborative, affirming space where clients of all backgrounds, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, feel safe, respected, and empowered in their healing journey.

Originally from Pennsylvania, I moved to Maryland to be near my support system and understand the importance of connection. Outside of therapy, I love singing, playing guitar, strength training, hiking, and visiting coffee shops. I believe healing isn't about avoiding discomfort but learning to navigate it with resilience and self-compassion. If you're feeling overwhelmed by life’s uncertainties, you don’t have to go through it alone—I’d love to support you in finding steadier footing and greater self-trust.

Andrea Moya Muñoz

Licensed in WV and MD

I believe that healing happens in a space of validation, trust, and cultural understanding. Specializing in BPD, addiction, ADHD, relationships, and anxiety, I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that integrates CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and multicultural perspectives to help clients navigate life’s challenges. My experience spans private practice, addiction treatment facilities, and trauma-specialized centers, where I’ve worked with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Hispanic, and neurodivergent individuals. The first few sessions focus on understanding your story and building our therapeutic relationship, but I also provide tools right away to help with any immediate concerns. I'm also able to offer therapy services in Spanish.

Originally from Puerto Rico, I transitioned from journalism to therapy after Hurricane Maria, seeing firsthand the urgent need for mental health support. Having lived and worked in West Virginia and Maryland, I understand the intergenerational effects of trauma and addiction, particularly in communities with economic challenges. I believe in balancing acceptance with challenge, helping clients rewrite their personal narratives while respecting their individual pace. Therapy changed my life, and I’ve seen my clients overcome incredible obstacles—I know that change is possible. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, crochet, and caring for my plants and cats.
